Forged from the combined voices of Hannah James (Kerfuffle), Hazel Askew (The Askew Sisters) and Rowan Rheingans (Fidola), Lady Maisery has become known for the striking ability to take old songs and draw out their resonances with society today. A harmony trio causing a stir on the English folk scene, the band play accordion, harp, banjo, concertina, fiddle, the ban-sitar (a banjo/sitar) and feature skillful clog-dancing in their live performances.

Lady Maisery have garnered rave reviews for their two albums to date, Weave & Spin and Mayday.

“Just three of them but they sound like an orchestra”– Sean Rafferty, BBC
