The Bury Beer Festival returns to take over The Met again on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 November.

Our historic Derby Hall venue will be taken over for two days of drinking and discussing (but mostly drinking) brilliant beers from Bury’s local breweries. There’ll be seven brewery bars with a range of cask and keg creations from across the Bury area, plus a cider bar, and (following their huge popularity last year) the return of Kwoff‘s gin bar. Plus we’ll be finding brilliant guest beers from across the country.

Our range of brewery bars have now been announced, including Bury’s gang of 5 brilliant brewers, and two first-timers at the festival:

  • Brewsmith: the family-run microbrewery based in Ramsbottom who make brilliant ales with a big following.
  • Brightside: Award-winning beers from Radcliffe, known for innovation and quality, sold nationwide.
  • Deeply Vale: Family business established in central Bury in 2012; real ale made with real passion. Drink deeply!
  • Irwell Works: The team from the Rammy landmark brewery & tap join us again: brewers of festival favourite Marshmallow Unicorn Stout.
  • *NEW addition* Northern Monkey Brew Co: All the way from Bolton, Northern Monkey was founded by friends Ryan and Liam in 2016, and has gone from strength to award-winning strength ever since: we’re excited to have them join us for the first time.
  • Silver Street: Born in the basement of the nearby Clarence pub, this local brewery is on the up-and-up with ‘Freetown’ keg beers and innovative limited edition ales.
  • *NEW addition* Strata: We’re delighted that this brand new ‘cuckoo’ brewery based in Rochdale is bringing a range of their exciting, contemporary craft cask ales to the festival.

There’ll be entertainment, music, food and plenty of chances to speak to brewers about their craft.

Friday Night Disco Session: On Friday night the soundtrack to the session will be provided by Take Me To Church Prestwich. The best pop-up club night this side of Strangeways will be playing a mix of disco, funk, hip-hop and house at a perfect level for the discerning drinker.
