Burrs Live is back for 2023

We’re delighted to announce that Burrs Live, The Met’s much-loved outdoor festival at Burrs Country Park, will re-open for a new season of summer music events from Wed 30 August to Sun 3 September 2023. This Bury based festival will bring you a week of live music, activities, family fun and artisan food to see out the summer in the great outdoors.

Across the week we will welcome: The Bootleg Beatles (Wed 30 August); our festival Head for the Hills (Fri 1 and Sat 2 September); and a Proms in the Park event with The Untold Orchestra in support of Bury Hospice (Sun 3 September).

Funders and sponsors: We’d like to say a huge thank you to our funders, Arts Council England, GMCA and Bury Council. Without this generous support the festival would not be possible.

Other roles may be issued over the course of the festival, such as box office and selling merchandise, and you may also wish to take part in the set up and take down days too.

As well as having the perk of listening to lots of great live music, you will also receive a free lunch and/or evening meal. Plus if you volunteer for 12 hours or over, you’ll receive two free guest passes!
